Penang Chefs Association and Penang Koo Soo Association (檳城姑蘇廣存堂茶酒樓公會), is currently holding their inaugural Battle of the Global Chinese Chefs 2019 (BOGCC/環球中餐烹飪廚藝大賽) from 4-6 October 2019 at Level 1 of M Mall O2O, Penang Time Square, Penang. Endorsed by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACs) as a National Category Event, the BOGCC is the first non-pork/halal Chinese culinary competition in this region. The competition is opened to not only any Chinese ethnic chefs but also to all global chefs with standards for authenticity and quality of the culinary artistry in the Chinese gastronomy world.
More than 200 participants will be vying for top titles in 31 categories, judged by WACs approved judges. Winners will not only receive medals and awards but more than RM10,000 in total cash prize money. The categories are stated below.

There are also some stalls set up at the venue (namely Maggi, Lam Soon & Lee Kum Kee, Pastry World Sdn. Bhd., Nestle Products Sdn. Bhd., Ghee Hiang, Unilever Food Solutions, Ki.Ta Sauces, De Sunshine Foods Sdn. Bhd., etc) for guests to try out their products, from sauces, porridge, bakes, steamed buns with savory fillings, hot & cold beverages and more. There are also some recipe booklets and free samples for you to bring home.
